It’s Never Too Late

With age comes wisdom, beauty, and sometimes the need for wedding photos.

Let me back track a little, I had the pleasure of capturing what 20 years of love looks like. These two beautiful souls have been married for 20 years, 3 kids (all fully grown), and all this time, they have never had the opportunity to have wedding photos. I had the pleasure of photographing them and hearing their story. I mean I have to tell you, being around them, you’d think they just got married. They radiated love, but it was much more than that. It’s this understanding of each other, like two soul forever intertwined. Posing and positioning them was so effortless. There wasn’t a need to tell them to kiss, or get close, it just came naturally to them, and because of that, their photos came out so beautiful and so genuine. It’s the many years of being together that made them perfect.

After sitting down and editing their photos I realized that these two shouldn’t get lost in my social media feed. They deserve to be featured because really, 20 years of marriage and still being able to love and laugh at each other is a major accomplishment. I didn’t get a chance to ask their secret, but I can only assume the answer would be around the lines of “don’t take things so seriously.” Their carefree spirits were contiguous, and I don’t remember a moment when I didn’t laugh or smile along with them. I can only hope that my husband and I will be like them when we hit year 20.

So there you have it people. If you’re thinking of “aww, I’m too old for wedding photos, it’s a little too late,” fret not! Look at these two and remember, it’s never too late for…really anything at all.
