Remote Hood River Oregon Engagement Photos with Sylvia & Jeffrey
Sylvia and Jeffrey engagements was initially planned to take place at Painted Hills in eastern Oregon, but since it was closed to the public, we regrouped and shot their engagement here. This remote spot in Hood River was discovered after a scouting session a couple week before their engagement date. They wanted a place that was remote, had dried grass and Oregon wildflowers, which brought us here for their Oregon engagement photos.
Private, remote, a space all to themselves
Finding places in Oregon for engagement photos isn’t too difficult. Drive a short drive outside of Portland will take you to mountain ranges, rollings hills, and majestic waterfalls. Sylvia and Jeffrey trusted me with this location and it was just perfect for them. Easy, fun, adventurous and love the the great outdoors.
Two outfits, a blanket, and a bottle of champagne
Engagement session is always a time for you to enjoy yourselves and have fun. It’s not easy being in front of a camera, but once you start to forget the photographer’s presence and focus on you and your partner, the poses and genuine moments comes more easily. Of course prompts will still be given with minor directions, but a photographer’s goal to capture you in your moment with your partner and the love you share.
Bringing accessories is always encouraged
A week before this Oregon engagement session, I texted the bride and gave her some bullet points and ideas to keep in mind. When they arrived, I was happy to see them fully prepared. I did go on a quick scouting mission just before the session to find them the perfect champagne flutes though and boy was it paired perfect with the bride’s dress!
