As I look back on the editorial shoot I recently captured at Arc Light Wedding Venue, I am overcome with nostalgia and gratitude. We designed this bridal shoot as an ode to Mother Nature. And as I sift through the images, I can feel the connection to the earth and all its beauty captured in each frame.
A romance with mother nature
The floral cage, designed by Caroline Reusen Floral, that surrounded the bridal dress was a work of art in itself. As seen through it delicate and intricate design. The nature and flow of the floral cage symbolize the natural beauty that surrounds us. As I positioned myself to capture the perfect angle, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe at the wonder of nature and its ability to inspire such creativity and beauty.
This shoot was an intimate affair. We filled it with romantic elements that evoked a sense of timeless elegance. From the flowing gown by Aideux Bridal to the intentional tablescape, and Arc Light’s beautiful ballroom, all elements alluded to a bespoken time.
As a Portland wedding photographer, I find myself continually inspired by the natural beauty surrounding me, with lush greenery, majestic forests, and serene waters all serving as a backdrop for my work. It is always my aim to infuse each image with a sense of romance and tranquility.
Arc Light Event Space
When hosting an event at the Arc Light Wedding Venue, consider utilizing the space to its full potential by taking advantage of its flexibility. For instance, the Arc Light was designed for optimal function and flow. With 2 large suites, a bar area for cocktails, a decorative hallway, and a large ballroom.
Quick notes about this venue: a capacity of 200 for cocktail-style events and room for 160 for seated dinners. Beautifully craft bar, two large getting ready suits, light-filled ballroom. Ample parking space, stairs, and an elevator. Catering by The Hive Catering Co.
This shoot was a beautiful reminder of the power of nature and the timeless elegance of love. It was a privilege to work with incredibly talented vendors to make this vision come to life. Arc Light is a must-see venue and I am grateful for the opportunity to share it with the world.
